Clear the area so the girl with the big glasses can turn off the lights and turn on the little security cop.

He is a young college security “deputy”. not a cop, not a med tech, just an eager kid trying to act like he can handle any important situation. In this case, call the medics.

By the weekend Mrs. Horner will be in the hospital recovering. The TV news will cover the story and Luann will become a local hero, unless gorilla-jaw tries to steal her thunder. Then, next week Luann will appear on the local news when the college presents her with a special award.

Either Greg is using Neanderthals for models, or he’s been hanging out with Cedar Savages from the U.P. of Michigan.

A doctor? In this situation, a doctor is probably overrated and not needed, and you’ll wait forever in some ER wondering if a doctor will ever come and if he or she does come, will he or she even speak or understand English. I would tend to go with a nurse practitioner. They have advanced medical training and are a good substitute for the decreasing number of American doctors.

No breaks on this occasion. Dumbo is a loose cannon. Luann can use his size and muscle to lift Mrs. Horner into a position where she can breathe easier and take some water, but CPR could break the ribs of a 90 year old lady.

Luann acted calmly – pulse – respiration – mindful of the fact that the ocarina winded her and probably caused the light head which put her on the floor. Next step, get the dummy out of there. He’s a freak and will get in the way.

I accept, “burned out, overworked, or exhausted” but the rest is just ego dreaming, a list of what might have been. If I have trouble walking, someone who climbs mountains means nothing to me. If a self professed multi-talented person falls down, trust that a less talented person will help them up. Enough said. I offer an opinion, not an unqualified lecture. Cheers.

Your reaction to a possible emergency disappoints me. When did you become disillusioned? I expected you of all commenters to offer something wise. from your long experience. But, as I have experienced, most people back away. One time a nurse came out of the stands and helped me with a skater who had broken arm, until the EMS came. You were called to be a hero not a folk singer in some pub.
