   The strip was possibly traced. Back in my twenties I traced by pencil several of Dad’s Bozo strips and then inked them in by hand. You could not tell the copies from the originals, except for the lack of a signature on mine.

   I believe almost certainly that it was done by a substitute. Perhaps one strip in a batch was damaged in some way and this one replaced it by an onsite cartoonist.
