   yeah but who’s the other choice?… this is the flaw in a 2-party system. ranked choice voting and far easier access for 3rd parties and independents is needed.

   I agree with that ..but its all overshadowed by if you eliminate or end-run the EC ..you make campaigns more expensive because they would then have to advertise nationwide…. this makes the power of big money even worse .. maybe why Newt supports it.

   also it makes it harder for 3rd parties to make a dent…and that competition is needed I think.

   no it is not disingenuous ..it is the situation I think would be prevalent, eventually, without an EC… the 3rd parties could compete even less well than they do now
