Saw some discussion earlier about time.

This saga began 09-Nov-2018. We saw a clock set to 3:01. We learned a couple weeks ago that the current time is 3:06.

Most of all, we have Kirby’s words, that Wally and company have been gone only a few minutes – though it seemed like years to her (and was at least 5 years for us).

On another note: Good to see Terrence stepping up. Up to now, it often seemed like he was just “along for the ride.” That said, others have questioned his loyalty – a former topsider who changed against his will.

But didn’t they all? Aren’t all the “mutants” in this story, didn’t they all change against their own will?

I’m thinking only Jim and Sarah changed voluntarily.

And we saw how that turned out.

Who was expecting Scott to be this upset?

Of the many people I lost in this life, this last two years, I lost a step daughter, and then her mother.

This strip is just a little bit too close to home.

With Clarence, I was hoping for insight as to what being a „topsider“ is all about. And I was also hoping that not „topsiders“ are blind murderers.

Also, the double-left arrow at the bottom of today’s strip.

Under boydpercy above, bscruffy suggests that the planet is changing its “Apex species to Anthro.”

Not sure how to feel about that. And yet, there was another hint in that direction – the end of the wolf-pig intermission between Wally stories had Walt die and remain an anthro on the “other side of the veil.”

Which begs the question: Is that where Aaron is going with this story?

That all people will become furries – or die?

Thanks to ozed for the link to 25 Sep 2019 – and I don’t think that was the real beginning of this arc, either. radarhead also bemoans how long ago this arc started – “Almost literally a completely different person now,” he says.

As for me, in this period of time, I’ve had a step daughter and a wife succumb to cancer.

I know I’m a different person now than back then.

You have a point. Of late, Scott (Eric) does seem to have Winslow saying what should be Carmen’s lines.

Though, at times, Scott (Eric) tries to show Carmen as a never-Trump Republican, rather much of a unicorn these days now that Trump has purged the party of almost everyone who once didn’t believe the election was stolen.

When Scott (Eric) goes on a never-Trump rant, then Winslow and Carmen appear to switch roles.

Of course, for Scott (Eric), the foil is, no matter how bad Trump and the Republican Party has become, like Sununu and Christy, he sticks with “Biden worse.”

I guess that’s his way of voting for Trump without actually pulling the lever (or the chad on a paper ballot to be hand counted)…
