Well, she “imagined” all sorts of problems arising if she told Luanne about Piro’s problems.But people sometimes don’t connect visualizing potential cause-effects with the mental processes in children we call imagination.
Somewhere I read that ability to imagine in a young child is a good predictor of intelligence, An active mind visualizes, creates, and holds the narrative together. Not everyone can do that.(And please don’t get mad because I’m ignoring other intelligences: physical, emotional, etc. We know they exist. )
Actually that’s pretty smart. It advances the plot sensibly.I don’t think you’re recognizing this story is children’s fiction and imagination.
