There are cases where cutting staff is less like narrowing the highway, but more like towing away the broken down and double-parked cars that impede normal traffic flow. Elon Musk recently proved this point.

Thank you for this insightful critique.

People who feel obligated to announce they are leaving (or threaten to leave) are usually well aware that no one would notice otherwise.

You are so far left that centrist is beyond the horizon. Your preferred sources promote lies and hoaxes even after they have been thoroughly debunked. Anti-Trump examples include ‘Russian collusion’, ‘drink bleach’, ‘neo-Nazis are fine people’s, ‘Hunter laptop is Russian disinformation’, ‘Steele Dossier is accurate’, & ‘over-fed coi fish’. Add to these the minimization of true stories like Hillary’s deleted emails & wiped server, Biden’s multiple & oft-repeated proven lies about his own past. Your distain for sources that promote right-friendly information rings hollow.

In the late 1950s, before digital devices were commonplace, I started believing that automobile batteries had a built in calendar/timer that was set to destroy the battery about one week after the warranty expired. Couldn’t imagine how they did it.

Gravity is not a problem. Douglas Adams explains, “The knack of flying is learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.”

A young person who is both lucky and patient will learn first hand what it is like to be old. No point in hurrying the lesson, but I am enjoying the experience, hoping there are still several more chapters to go. Over 30,000 pages so far.

People who do not pay attention to ‘news’ from sources with various political leanings are almost certainly misinformed on many topics. For instance, many still believe anti-Trump hoaxes like ‘drinking bleach’, ‘fine people’, ‘overfed koi fish’, & many others. See also the recent comments by URI Berliner about NPR.
