In Belgium, they walk around with waffles on their heads. In France, their favorite head accouterment is French toast.

“His music is garbage that he was ashamed to publish? Wow, that’s great since my movie is also garbage. By the way, the movie premiers in two weeks at a little-known theatre in this nothing town. I don’t even know why I am doing this or why you or I are in this comic strip. Do you think we are going the way of Winkerbean?”

Rob seems to be telling us that his strip is dumb, using self-deprecating humor to do it.

Luann’s thought bubble: Gee, so what talent do I have? I just can’t think of anything. I guess I’ll write about the ol’ lady fainting. But what should I be when I grow up? Oh, that’s right, I’m a ditzy comic strip character; I’m never going to grow up like my brother did.

Excuse me Dr. P., but as much as I like you, I don’t care for other people meddling in my business, especially behind my back. I may want to keep the name “Daly’s Garage,” at least until my customers become accustomed to the new ownership. And then I’ll decide what to call my business. Also, I’m sure you are aware that there are legal implications with business name changes not to mention business cards, stationary, etc.

Stephan Pastis and Charles Shultz both lived in Santa Rosa, CA (about 50 miles north of San Francisco) as did Raymond Burr, Natalie Wood, and Guy Fieri. Check out his restaurant, Johnny Garlic’s. Tom Smother’s winery, Remick Ridge Vineyards, is just outside of Santa Rosa. The home of famed botanist, Luther Burbank sits just off the middle of downtown and of course the yard is full of a huge variety of plants (open to the public). A few blocks away is The Church of One Tree (made from a single redwood tree) which Robert Ripley purchased and stocked with “Believe It or Not” artifacts, curios and oddities (call ahead for admittance.) Famed author, Jack London’s home is just down the road from Santa Rosa (open to the public.) I thought you’d want to stop on your way to your drive of the glorious Redwood Highway, a must-see bucket list item.

In spite of the panic over AI taking over, I don’t think AI is smart enough to generate subtle mistakes like these. Not unless programmed to do so. Humans rule.
