   More importantly, Cohen again and again confirmed that trump was aware that the checks were being sent to reimburse Cohen’s payment to Stormy Daniels.

   trump didn’t create the payment scheme. trump didn’t write the fake invoices. But trump was aware of what was happening and encouraged the use of the false documents. That’s all it takes.

   At the end of the testimony, prosecutors led Cohen though the post-election period and particularly into the time when the investigation from special counsel Robert Mueller resulted in his house and office being searched.

   Don’t feel sorry for Cohen, considering his years of defending trump, his role in setting up schemes to hide trump’s affairs, and how everyone who ever met the man seems to describe him as a jerk. But as Cohen related how he was slowly forced into the wilderness—with more and more layers between himself and trump and promises that seemed both distant and empty—it was hard not to feel … something.

   On the stand, Cohen didn’t seem like the jack@ss that other witnesses had described (with encouragement from the prosecution), and his testimony was largely confirmed by documents and other witnesses, again and again confirmed that trump was aware that the checks were being sent to reimburse Cohen’s payment to Stormy Daniels. And they fraudulently hid the payments.

   This is what half of American politics has become. It is embarrassing.

   There could be bills trying to solve price gouging, the border, poverty, homelessness, worker pay, or addressing any other real and current issue.

   Instead repug members of Congress waste their time making a show of going to a trial for someone who had affairs, paid hush money, and covered it all up to mislead the public ahead of a close election.

   Then they will get in front of the cameras and say phrases like “weaponized justice” and “lawfare” when they know full well no such thing is happening.

   Strange flex for the party of law and order and family values to come out for cheating on your wive with a porn star and commiting election and financial fraud to hide it. All so that their dear leader doesn’t mean tweet about them.

   trump told Cohen to keep the story from getting out until the election was over. “I want you to just push it out as long as you can, just get past the election, because if I win it will have no relevance because I’m president, and if I lose, I don’t even care,”

   That “just get it past the election” is the biggest line from this testimony. That’s trump trying to bury Daniels’ story to protect his campaign, all wrapped up in a “if I lose, I don’t even care” bow. That’s the conspiracy that turns this into a felony, all in nice little nutshell.

   Now, Cohen needs to get back on the stand and speak to the counts of the indictment—the falsified documents.

   The documents previously enter into evidence and verified by multiple witnesses and have sent other co-conspirators to prison.

   With every ’toon and comment, rwnjs prove how deeply ignorant they are of reality.
