I cut off the “resealable” top and fold down the bags, sealing with a clothespin or rubber band or put the food in a container with a lid, depending on what it is. Much easier.
I’m just finishing up digging out weeds and crabgrass with roots down to China in my neighbor’s rose garden before their 50th wedding anniversary party. He pretty much wanted to do the same thing. It’s my gift to them.
Picked up my car yesterday, paid the remainder of the $3200 bill, and promptly headed to the mountains for a lovely walk along a creek and lush meadow then up past some beautiful cascades. Perfect weather, no mosquitos yet. Only saw 2 other people, it’s one of those trails only locals use. Grocery shopped for the first time in 2 weeks and only spent $100 in our high priced rural stores. Car is parked overnight with a string of white lights and 2 sonic devices with pulsing strobe lights under the hood to deter more mice.
