I am not opposed to higher education, it has its place but I do think it is overrated. Look at all the people whining about how they took out loans and now they aren’t rolling in money from their degree and they want me and you to pay their loans off. College is grat for some but for many, a trade school would be far better.

Aggravating the situation is that some schools have a 95% acceptance rate. It is all about money and getting federal subsidies from the federal government. It isn’t about accepting the qualified but rather getting the money.

Some people simply do not need to be in college and that isn’t saying they are not smart but they have better options. I have some friends who never went to college and are very intelligent while I have some friends / coworkers who went to school (or are in it) and are idiots.

Oh Willy has called me all sorts of names, mainly liar, and has repeated expressed his doubt about my education. I am surprised sometimes that he even believes himself!

Speaking as somebody who well knows the value of eduction (BS Physics/Math; MAT Education/Science; MDiv w Bib Lang) I can speak to that point.

It would be far better for people and this country to have more people learn a trade like plumbing, welding, HVAC, etc. A friend got his degree in Business Management but without his CPA, it isn’t worth much. A lot of degrees that were valuable way back when are relatively worthless now. Medical will always be great. IT is fading, still a great field but now what it was some years ago.

In a discuss with some people at work, we all agreed the more important qualities to look for are a good work ethic and a being a team player. Most people no matter how well educated, still have to learn the actual work. What is important is their personality, their willingness to work together with others, and their willingness to work and not constantly claim another grandmother has died. (I learned in a previous job to keep a record ot the deaths in their family).

I just ordered a battery for my car key fob. Just like the strip, the battery (even the cardboard and plastic cover that is near impossible to but through) was itty bitty. The box it came in was about 6" by 4" by 3". Horrible waste of resources. It would have easily shipped in a padded envelope.

I would like to see LuAnn mature in her relationships a little more. By now she should have a boyfriend. (Not a crush that is never mutual.) I don’t mean passionate but a dating relationship, something that would lat a while.

If you watch the ads for a grocery store, you will notice they run in cycles. At Harris Teeter, they almost always run NY Strip on sale after they have Porterhouse / T-Bone on sale, usually for the same price! (Porterhouse is far better than NC Strip IMHO)

Watch the ads and try to pick up patterns, that can help you save by waiting for the sale.

Trump Trial News – "The account by Hicks demolishes District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s primary claim against Trump that he paid porn star Stormy Daniels for her silence with the intent to benefit his campaign and, thereby, influence the election by “unlawful means.” To the contrary, it nicely corroborates the findings of a federal investigation that no crimes were committed, or campaign finance laws broken because there was another purpose for the non-disclosure agreement that Daniels signed.

Like the prosecution witnesses before her, Hicks disparaged Bragg’s planned star witness, Michael Cohen, Trump’s one-time personal lawyer. … compared to the other derisive comments that have been leveled thus far at the insufferable Cohen, who is a convicted liar who went to prison.

It was foolhardy for Bragg’s legal team to call Hicks. A rank amateurish mistake. Her testimony was redundant and unnecessary. But under the theory that no dead horse will be left unbeaten, prosecutors seemed determined to have her tell the jury what they already knew.

Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg should turn himself in to authorities for impersonating an honest lawyer

If I understand what you are saying, “passing a fake bill to buy a pack is not a CAPITAL OFFENSE”, passing a counterfeit bill is a federal crime, investigated by the Secret Service.

The daisies had nothing to do with what happened. The damage and assault on police and the Guard is what led to the reaction.
