   Spoiler - Tom Buchanan is Myrtle’s lover. Daisy Buchanan was driving Gatsby’s car that hit&-ran Myrtle.

   Fan theory — After faking his death in the icy waters to get away from clingy Rose, Jack takes off with the real Heart of the Ocean blue diamond (the one in Rose’s pocket was a fake of course!) He parlays the proceeds from the diamond into a fortune on the WWI Black Market, and resurfaces 10 years after Titanic, in the town of West Egg, Long Island. With his new name — Jay Gatsby!
