One does tend to have much more control over one’s own country than foreign ones, regardless of what you think of said policies.

Let’s see…. nobody is banning gas stoves, but if you have a kid with respiratory problems you might want to switch. The Keystone XL is much more a symbolic problem than a real one. The US is a net exporter of oil, meaning we are getting plenty without the disaster the XL could easily have been. Subsidies? Yeah, the oil industry along with the tobacco one that’s poisoning the population, has gotten unneeded subsidies for decades.

Bok throwing in Keystone, which was to carry Canadian crude to Texas refineries for export (all of it, none for U.S. consumption) demonstrates yet another RW rant.

THE PIPELINE WAS FOR CANADA’S OIL, NOT U.S. OIL! Pursuing energy other than fossil fuels is a good thing, and finally trying to take care of our environment has become a priority. conservatiive old money doesn’t like that their cush is being threatened.

Folks keep talking about the Keystone XL like it was really a thing. A whooping 8% of it had been built when Biden canceled the permit. The US is currently energy independent. We broke records for drilling oil in 2022, 2023 and will again in 2024. In 2023 we produced more oil and gas than any other nation in the world with an average of 12.9 million barrels per day. (many sources online, look it up. Its not hard). In 2024, analysts predict that the United States will retain its position as the leader in oil production According to the Macquarie Group, by the end of the year, US oil production is expected to reach a record high of about 14 million barrels per day. Ducks of a feather: our flock of radicalized MAGA freaks and trolls are infesting not just Go Comics, but sporadically all over America. All the way up to some of the incredibly stupid useful-idiot GOP Congress Critters who are openly and whole-heartedly repeating the most ridiculous, asinine, ham-fisted conspiracies from Russian propaganda.

They’re not ducks, no, they’re squirrels, and they’re everywhere!

With Biden he has a lot of “Do-do’s” and only a whimpery “don’t.” His presidency has been mostly do-do even a cannibal wouldn’t eat.

Wise choices on climate policy, although probably inadequate. We need drastic action to counter climate warming. Cooperation of all nations is needed. Meanwhile, right wingers are doing all they can to prevent progress in both domestic and foreign policy, including blocking needed aid to our allies, and spreading lies. This cartoon is one example of their dishonest behavior..

Considering any real threat requires money, which the R’s have effectively withheld from Ukraine, how can he promise anything more defined than “don’t”.

Because we “can’t” depend on the extreme right to do the RIGHT thing for anyone.
