Such an odd world we live in – we have Evangelical Christianists who, despite their belief that Jews are Christ-killers, embrace Israel so they can “nudge” God into their interpretation of the “rapture.” And we have an ultra-right wing Knesset that seems determined to exterminate as many Palestinians as they can as fast as they can, and then deport the rest to… well… somewhere.
Not to worry, Biden’s poll numbers are tanking in the swing state of Michigan, home to a large Muslim population. Seems many of the protesters chanting death to America on American streets are also calling Biden “genocide Joe,” and he needs their votes, so the Biden regime will need to soften it’s support for Israel.
Unfortunately, it is not hard to imagine. The history of pre-WWII Germany is well documented. Trump’s administration will openly engage in ethnic cleansing both at home and in Gaza. I sincerely would love to see Rall engage in this debate with his fellow artists who are claiming Biden supports Hamas and wants to see Israel beaten. I envision it being so intense that when they blow their noses, it will be feces instead of mucus. Rall has a good point, but I have never been more concerned about our future than this election. Trump is not an aberration. He has marshaled the hateful, the paranoid and the ignorant into a potent force.
What Israel is doing in Gaza is the same Palestinian household demolition that has occured for many decades to rid the land of Palestinians, or Arabs, and confiscate their land. Only now, the IDF is doing its destruction on a much more elevated scale. Gazans are run off from their homes and the homes destroyed by bombs to let Israel retake the Gaza Strip for Jewish settlers. It’s no accident that Gazans are run off from safe havens by more bombs since running the Gazans off and taking the land is the main idea.
Oct 7 nor ukraine would have not happened if trump ( or at least not Biden and whom ever manage him “I’ll get in trouble”) Biden was warned not to do many things cause they would lead to invasion of Ukraine, the rise of terror , Iranian meddling and backing of terrorist proxies … and here we are!
Trump would be worse at that as well as reproductive rights and civil liberties and amnesty for refuges the environment and many many other issues. I will vote proudly for Joe to continue the arc of history toward justice and not away.
I do think Trump would be worse, because the likelihood of it erupting into a wider war would be greater, and because he’s been drawing support from Zionist Evangelicals. They’re not supporters of Jews, but they do want Israel to survive and thrive for entirely disturbing and selfish reasons. I don’t think Trump buys into that (he’s far too self-centered) but as long as they’re backing him, he’s going to lean their way.
Your complaints against Israel’s slaughter of Gazans are right. Your pinning the blame on President Biden is simplistic and almost solely incorrect.
Further, if Trump gets back into office, not only will he make things worse in this country, but he won’t care a wink when the Israel government finishes off Gaza and turns to slaughtering the Palestinians in the West Bank. This will not happen in a second Biden Administration. It is, however, one of the many horrors we can expect with a second Trump Administration.
