I wish I could see one in totality. I’ve seen 85%. And I even gave my MIL my viewing glasses so she could see. She wouldn’t remember, but I thought it was something she would like for a few minutes.
I’m following it on Accuweather or CBS. Less hassle and lowerer carbon footprint. Anyway, doesn’t temp the cloud-gods to rise in anger to spite me. More interest in how the animals react.
The price of gas here in Indy jumped about 30 cents on Wednesday. I wonder if that’s in anticipation for the eclipse or in preparation for raising again before Monday. Cut the dog’s tail one inch at a time — that way it won’t hurt him as much as cutting all at once.
Incidentally, for those arriving in the area for the show on Monday:
Don’t buy your gas in Cloverdale. The gas stations there (just off the I-70 / 231 interchange) have been gouging travelers for years and years; the prices are always inflated, occsionally I’ve seen them as much as 40 or 50 cents over those in Indy, higher even than the prices at the I-70 / 243 exit, which is about 3 miles west of Cloverdale.
Oh, conspiracy nuts are going around preaching that there will be three days of darkness and better stock up on groceries. My daughter-in-law’s mother is one of them. So on the day of the eclipse, my son and daughter-in-law have asked us to pick up my granddaughter from school rather than the other grandma. They worry about what she might do.

On average, there are about 240 solar eclipses each century (Wikipedia so it must be true).
Total Eclipse of the Heart (Bonnie Tyler) occur every day.

Brief history of viral disease:
Pre-vaccine: We’re dying!
Early post-vaccine: We’re saved!
Late post-vaccine: My DNA will be manipulated to control my behavior, so NO VAX FOR ME. Why am I dying?
