I guess back in those days, it was common to want to grow up to become president. These days, I can’t imagine why anyone would even want that job. You can make more money as a CEO and with far less aggravation.
The current Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is (Air Force) General Charles Q. Brown, Jr. He is the highest ranking person in the US military and about as close to a 5-Star general as one can get during peacetime.
