Management has ALWAYS paid itself well. Particularly in Hellyweed. But every so often, the minions realize how BADLY they’re being taken (particularly when something changes, like visual AI clones… or getting paid for scripts that play on the internet) and they rise up and demand their fair share! Then, eventually, settle for much less than that… but better than it was.
Producing stuff with plot holes you could drive a truck through hasn’t stopped them from releasing it so expect more of the same but with rougher edges.
Don’t the Producers create the financial pot the pays the writers, grips, camera men, caterers, extras and others to make the film during production? The Producers’ reward comes or doesn’t come when the movie is released. They and their investors are rewarded for taking the risk. The question is what is a fair wage for those who hire on, but are not risking their money.
Since the movie “Barbie” did exceptionally well at the $box office$. These producers are looking into more kid toy themed movies like with “Barbie.” One idea that’s floating around Hollywood is the “Rock’em Sock’em Robots.”
Workers lose jobs to technology. Blacksmiths lost jobs to cars. Reference library workers to the computer. Autoworkers lost jobs to robots. The world marches on.

They keep doing the same movies over and over so they don’t have to hire new writers.
