WTH! Tiffany is still living at the Gulag??

We did get a new arc.. that apparently started yesterday? Very odd! Tiff’s arm is completely healed. They need to ask her leave. Les deserves to have his room back.

I wonder what Bets will say about Tiff still living there.

Does it look, to anyone else, like Tiffany has slimmed down a bit?

So we add Piro to the window as mysteries never to be answered.

And really, considering that Leslie’s idea of “cleaning the toilet” is to just flush it I’m surprised that Tiffany has put up with life in a boy’s dorm (as it were) for as long as this. Boy’s are so gross.

Aww pony pucks, we’re back to this arc again? Whelp; guess I’ll skip this week.

For all of us that thought we’d be off to the Tiffany thread, OK we guessed it. But I’d personally rather have continued Bern and Piro.

So it looks like the break in story is dead. It also looks like we’ll never see Bets reaction to Tiff living in the Gulag. Of course that assumes that Tiff is exiting the Gulag permanently.

Plus we see a rejuvenated Tiff jauntily off to a “dorm party” of some sort. We shall see what we shall see!

What is going on? What about the guy that replaced the glass that Tiff was smitten with? Is this comic what amounts to Scheherazade and her Thousand and One Tales, and we’ll be here forever with nested arc after arc?

As a huge feeling of being used settles down over the Gulag, they guys will team together and set all of Tiff’s stuff out in front of the door, and her pillow on the top of the pile. Just to show their hearts are in the right place, they leave a small Andes® mint chocolate on top of her pillow.

“Look Ma! No cast!”

Well today’s Strip points to two things:

1) Les Knox is an even bigger doormat than Gunther and Ox combined.

2) Al and Irma are not as sharp as everyone thinks they are with Tiffany living on their property without their knowledge or permission. (And NO I’m not buying that they gave their blessing to this “living arrangement” after all the huffing and puffing they did when Bets wanted to live at the Gulag, circumstances be darned)

But the really sad part about this whole thing is that Stef Won.

In recent years, Tiffany is the breath of life in the Luann strip.

Les plays his part well.

I think Les will reclaim his bedroom toot sweet time for Tiffany to go home—not the dorm.

Yup. Les. You were taken advantage of and she did not even invite you to the party. How rude. Time for you guys to ask her to pack up and go. She is perfectly fine now – just afraid to go back to McManse. I suspect Bets would love to go back to being roomies with her if she goes back.

I thought Dez initiated the roomie make up & Tiff moved back to the dorm ???

Yes, Tiff has lost her sling and reacquired her trimmer waist. She also has a white, toothy smile (instead of that gaping, lip less black chasm usually displayed by Luann, Bernice, and others. Moreover, she has happy eyes instead of those Kermit the Frog goggle eyes good for seeing underwater in a pond.

She’s up for partying but still living there? Guess this week we’ll find out just how stupid those two are.

The farce is strong with this one……

She could at least have invited them to the dorm party. Or, she should be paying rent.

I understand that Les adores Tiffany and wants to be a gentleman, but it’s time to point out that she’s taking advantage of his kindness. If he doesn’t have the strength to say that to her, maybe Gunther or Bets will, or Gunther’s parents will finally decide to do something. I think they just need to tell her that she’s acting like Stefi.

Wait a minute, Tiffany is STILL THERE?

And Gunther’s mom and Mr. Gray don’t care? Do they even know?

Steff apologized (sorta), I thought Tiffany went back to the dorm!?

These situations and personalities are shifting around very quickly with one-liners, cameo appearances with no endings. Last week, poof, gone just like that. GnK must be watching “Seinfeld” and doing a strip “about nothing”.

Tiffany will be evicted before this week is over.

Too bad Ann Eiffel isn’t coming over. Losers.

Les gets punked!

So much for the start of Luann’s writing career. To be forgotten and probably never brought up again.

I guess Tiffs dad never found out about the broken window either. That is why this strip is hard to read every week. So many things that will never be brought up again.

Guess now the Felix and Oscar of this strip will be having a different discussion over the mess.

I think it was her right arm that was injured: no sling, no cast/splint/brace. So Tiffs just mooching off people’s goodwill again. She’s definitely all healed.

Les won’t tell Tiffany to leave because he loves her.

There was no reason to think Tiffany had moved out. Les is not hitting on her and doesn’t expect anything from her. There is no reason to think Bets is upset that Tiffany is staying with the boys. Tiffany is not having sex with the guys so Al and Irma would not mind her staying there.

I’m going to convince myself that this is in Luann time. That means it’s the day after Dez told Tiffany that she has overstayed her welcome at the Gulag and all the roommates went to inspect the mansion together. She can’t move back into the mansion because the window repairman told them about a burglar in the area and she got scared again, but I just assumed she was reconciled with her friends and moved back to the dorm. So will this be the week when she tells the boys she’s moving out? Maybe it’s setting up the big Les heartbreak, or Gunther breaking up with Bets (you know that’s who Tiffany really wants).

This is an interesting intro strip. It shows the boys and Tiffany in the Gulag with Tiffany apparently exiting. Normally one would expect the story line to follow Tiffany on to her purported dorm party. After all, the adventures of Tiffany are the most frequent alternative to the life of Luann.

But I wonder if my friend Luan1212’s Spidey-Sense isn’t tingling right about now in anticipation of a Greg switcheroo and stay with the Boys (and maybe Bets) for a surprise arc. After all, the dorm drama queens and broken window arcs have both become a little stale.

If that be the case, I’m sure 1212 will remind us that “hilarity will ensue.”

Time for a talk!

Not only has Les lost his bedroom but apparently does not even have a place for his tooth/hairbrush in the bathroom.

Several commenters, Aladar, Tampafan, Mordy, et al., have opined to one degree or another about Tiff’s dismissive treatment of the male characters in her orbit (Gunther, Les , Ox). I am of the opinion that Tiff is portrayed as the Glamor Gal that has been used to extra male attention all her life and just accepts it as the way the world works. She has morphed from a Hateful Little Snit and jealous foe of Luann to someone more like your cute and somewhat ditzy Aunt Shirley. The assault of Ann Eiffel upon Tom Farrel being the transformative traumatic event.

I think Tiff has gotten her moxy back.

Tiffany you have overstayed your welcome. Either move back home or in the dorm. Maybe Daddy will spring for another private room if you tell him about the broken window.

Dorm party…Bets must be skipping the party to see Gunther. I hope Stef and Kip are not at the party.

Dez brought her flowers at the gulag. Bets went to the mansion with Tiff, Shoog and Dez after she moved in with Les and Gunther, so she must already know where she’s sleeping.

Will this arc take us back to the quad with them convincing Tiff to move back in, or will GnK make something of Bets’ visit? She certainly should know where Tiff has been staying. If there’s a dorm party, why wouldn’t Bets be there, with Gunther? Hmmm

When the break-in (?) initially happened, I could understand why Tiffany was frightened to return to the mansion. But now she’s just taking advantage. Like she does Ox. She’s no better than that amorous airhead back at the dorm, in that they both have less than likable characteristics. Time to give Tiff the boot.

Greg stuffed a lot into today’s strip: 1) Bets is coming over. Did she know about Tiff living there? 2) Tiff’s arm is healed. No reason for her to continue living there. Hope the boys will step up and tell her its time to move on, unless she comes back from the dorm party with a new plan. 3/4) Tiff looks unusually happy, and trimmer? 5) What will happen at the dorm party. an invitation to move back to the dorm? 6) “I sense a shift in the pain (or in the force?)”

Dorm Party?? Tiffany has a dorm room paid for , has a mansión, and is slumming in a backyard Apartment with the boys. An entitlement predicament?

Yes, Tiff has used this time with the boys to diet. Now that she’s back to pre fat Tiff, will her kinder attitude slip too?

So Tiff is still there, and Guth is wearing one of his many identical shirts he made in highschool.

I broke the window,I confess.

As I’m usually a Negative Nancy, today feels like a good time for some positivity. What’s some movies/TV/comics/whatever you either really enjoy or are looking forward to enjoying over the past months? I’ll start:

Top Gun: Maverick was a way better movie than the first one, and a real delight to watch. I’m glad I saw it on the big screen.

I can’t wait until the new season of Shadow & Bone. That world sucked me in (I also just bought the books so I can start reading them.)

That 90’s Show isn’t that bad. Though the best part are Red and Kitty Forman by far. Those two have been missed (it’s funny seeing them switch places as the Good Cop/Bad Cop when dealing with their granddaughter.)

What are your own pop culture bright spots?

Leslie, get a clue. Then (as the military jargon goes), off and on!

At least Les cleaned up his mess. Or maybe Greg cleaned it up for him.
