It would be so much better if Biden went around buddying up to dictators trying to exchange favors for letting him build hotels in their countries. /s

I see Al left out that part where TFG alienated much of the world, but then, that never existed in the Alternate Universe.

This is the same BS comment that Trump pumped. Conservatives CAN’T STAND the US working with European allies. That’s why the want to abolish NATO. If the US isn’t standing alone, walking its own path, isolated from the rest of the world, conservatives start whining.

Face it, those days are OVER. Thank, goodness.

Um, Mr. Goodwyn, are you suggesting Trump’s “America First” policy has nothing to do with this? I think it does… If you don’t believe me, try an experiment: announce to your family your new “Al Goodwyn First” policy, and then see what happens to your influence with them…

If There’s nothing in it for them, GOP doesn’t have the brains to deal with foreign countries….they know they can’t manipulate and screw them …they only do that to their own citizens and country…GOP Never have a plan A let alone a plan B!

Their sole purpose is deflect, lie, investigate decades old grievances, cut taxes for their own purposes, and take millions in bribe money from big Pharma, Monsanto, NRA!!!!! This is why nothing changes…as long as lobbyist are funneling money to GOP, nothing will change for the good of the WE the People!

I find it interesting that people that push isolationist policies also want America to have “global influence”… the ego is huge with these people.

No influence? We’re the biggest exporter of arms that the military-industrial complex bribed Congress to approve.

Fox News flips on Donald Trump during Jan. 6 hearings

As the committee probe has gone public, at least four Fox News hosts and one analyst have casted doubt over Trump’s grandiose claims of fraud, for which there continues to be no evidence to speak of. Some have also questioned the former president’s mental fitness, suggesting that Trump cannot be trusted to steer the country in 2024 after spreading such spurious conspiracy theories about 2020.

“The lack of evidence is the huge stunning clear moment here where these people are saying, ‘Look I supported you, please give me something to work with,’ and it simply doesn’t materialize,” MacCallum said, speaking of the select committee’s fourth public hearing.

This week, Fox News host Brett Baier, one of the network’s noted critics of Trump, also joined the chorus, arguing with a pro-Trump gubernatorial candidate that no evidence of fraud has emerged.

In fact, the world is far too complex / interdependent to tolerate the “Ugly American” diplomacy of the past. Look at what the “little war” in Ukraine is doing, for instance. It’s no surprise the right whingers hate that: They got that way by insisting that “I’m most important” and project it onto “their” nation. More rational folks want to split the blame AND the credit… and the cost.

US global influence is much, much higher under Biden than under the Trump, despite the recent SCOTUS disasters. Trump didn’t want any foreign entanglements, including with traditional allies, and his State Department negotiated the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan that Biden was forced to implement.
