Buh buh but Republicans favorite soundbite is that they “want to make it easier to vote and harder to cheat”. That must be why 50 republican senators welcomed the opportunity to defend voting rights.
It’s sad to see a shrinking minority faction of the US electorate, so afraid of the ongoing demographic changes in the electorate, that they are willing to lie, cheat, and steal to protect their imagined majority — a contrived majority that makes no sense in a republic where people, not land masses, must be represented. If we had close to a 100% voter turnout, minority rule would not be very likely and we could be close to being indivisible. That some of the wealthy thrive on creating willful ignorance and division and help propagate disinformation only intensifies and exacerbates the dysfunction in our political system. By doing nothing that is ubiquitously proactive to [non-violently] end this madness, we do indeed get the government we deserve.
“Sun” woke up in opposite world today. However, all the hulabaloo about Repubs is misplaced. As long as ballots are counted by machine, on machines supplied by corporations, with secret programming, NO election is trustworthy. Republicans are working feverishly to steal the vote, but if you can’t be sure your vote is actually counted, it’s hard to know if it matters.
Oooo, the bots and trolls done got their knickers all sorts of bunched up about this one. Aw gee, the snowflakes don’t like it when the news and facts are used against them.

More than half of Americans view right-wing militia groups as a threat to US: poll
ore than half of Americans view right-wing militia groups as a threat to the U.S., with a third saying they pose an “immediate and serious threat” to the country, according to a poll from The Economist/YouGov.
The poll was taken following the first anniversary of the Jan. 6 insurrection, when Trump supporters stormed the Capitol in an effort to prevent Congress from certifying the results of the 2020 election. Members of known right-wing extremist groups including the Oath Keepers, the Proud Boys and the Three Percenters have been charged in connection with the attack.
The poll also found that 81 percent of those surveyed view domestic terrorism as a threat.
Sixty-six percent view right-wing militia groups as at least a minor threat, according to the poll, which surveyed 1,500 people in mid-January.
Of that number, 13 percent view the militia groups as a minor threat, 20 percent as a somewhat serious threat and 33 percent as an immediate and serious threat.
Broken down by party affiliation, 57 percent of Democrats polled said they view right-wing militia groups as a serious and immediate threat, while just 15 percent of Republican respondents said the same.
Biden blew it during his press conference when he stated the next election would not be legal unless his voting rights bill passed. When walking his flub back the next day Press Secretary Psaki admitted the elections will be fair — which pretty much negates the need for any changes to the election laws. Let’s save Federalism.
Notice how the Turd Reich Trolls & bots either quote entertainment network talking heads that make it up as they go along, or just make it up as they go themselves, but never post a fact based source that you can verify, fact check, and bias check? ‘Cuz they ain’t got even one, unless they twist, misrepresent, cherrypick, deflect, or otherwise use propaganda and disinformation.
Flag’ em but don’t respond directly to them. Ignore them that way. It really pisses them off to be ignored.
