How ridiculous.
I’m not Latin, but my last family reunion had 2000 people!, We had to rent a city park! That was 20 years ago, now we need to rent a convention center!
It was worse in the “old days” with the full long names used in formal introductions. :)
It can get a little awkward when you can’t quite place HOW you’re related to someone. “How are you, um, ah, Cousin? Uh, Uncle? Raul.”
