I wonder how many “public jobs” will be available once this pandemic finally passes.

Back in the day, a job counselor asked me what my dream job was. I told him I wanted to be a marijuana tester for the federal government. When he stopped laughing, I had to explain to him that I wasn’t joking.

Being a Government contractor is a pretty good gig. I would like to get the job of monitoring the Air Pollution in Hawaii. The big island to be exact.

All ‘four’ parties????

That would be a good post-retirement, part-time piece for me.

Why do I get the feeling that otter counting is a real govt job!

20+ years ago and doing basic science is a scornful punchline. Fast forward to the present and we’ve got a whole population of people who can’t understand enough basic science to get how vaccination works. We reap what we sow.

He could be a cat food taster for Purina, since he’s already an expert. Such jobs did exist, not sure if they still do

Counting sea otters is a great job, but don’t get too close. They have really bad breath.

Thera re a lot of people counting animals to check on whether or not they’re becoming extinct,so Elwood may not be too far off the mark.

My experience with otters is confined to the Coney Island Aquarium.

Elwood should beg off grizzly bear surveys.

That’s not nearly as easy as it sounds, Elmont. Trust me I know from personal experience.

I’d like that sea otter job, too. I know just the type of boat and electronics to work with.
