I’ve seen it written before: we’re all in the same tumultuous ocean, but not in the same boat. Some are on huge yachts with a full crew. Some are in barrels with no paddles. Some don’t have a boat at all and are barely keeping their head above water.

That coming together stuff is one of my most favorite and meaningless cliches.

Turn off cable news and be kind to others. Goes a long way.
