last week or so ago in another “Ziggy” panel, an employee of a different establishment pointed out to a yonder customer that isn’t Ziggy is the one customer who IS always right
Technically, he is a customer if he frequently visits that store, whether he actually buys anything or not. Purchasing something then makes him a consumer.
Whoever came up with that slogan should be tarred, feathered and shot. The way some customers take advantage of businesses who use that slogan is close to robbery. A friend of mine told me about his niece that anytime she wold buy anything from Wal-Mart or other stores with a liberal return policy that she would always tape the receipt to the back of it. When a new model came out or it broke etc. she would carry it back and exchange it for a new one. I saw two fellows trying to return a lawn mower to Lowes that clearly had been used for years and had seen better days. They were claiming that it did not hold up like they expected and wanted their money back.

He is a “customer” as soon as he walks in the door. However, customers are not “always” right.

I saw a sign in a bar once that said, “The customer is always right, but we reserve the right to determine who is a customer”.
