It would have been funnier with cats. There are limits to the number of dogs you can have, so he wouldn’t be able to feed his snake regularly from the same shelter, as implied here. womp womp.
This comic strip showing the man adopting a dog to feed to his snake is extremely tasteless. Adoptable animals need to be loved and cared for their entire lives. Your comic strip encourages people to abuse adoptable animals. The rescue and adoption of animals is serious business and should not be characterized as a joke as you have done in your sick comic strip.
I saw a text conversation in which a woman put 20 rat pups for sale. When asked about existing pets, the buyer said he had two “birds.” After the sale, the vendor told the buyer he forgot the rat food, but he then said that “birds” was supposed to be “boas.” The vendor demanded the 20 rats back. The response: “18 rats….”Moral: Autocorrect kills.
I have asked my newspaper to discontinue this strip. There is so much darkness in the world now, from drowned babies to animal cruelty consisting of burning them…I cannot endure more. This is not, just not amusing at any level. No black humor, no irony, nothing, just not amusing.
well, you must be very young…we did get it ourselves. Perhaps you do not read the newspapers, but frankly, there is so much ugliness in the world, I do not need more. Drowned babies, burning animals….killing children, I just do not need more to assault me on my “comic page”.
No, not funny, but better than Wumo humor…I have one of those tiny ones…she is five pounds…with the heart of a lion. She has run up to large dogs and barked at them….although no bigger than their nose. Luckily for her…they have ignored her. She is never left outside unsupervised, as she is hawk bait for sure. Like many of these dogs, she loves her person, and is very intelligent.

Eh animals eat animals, that’s natural, just because dogs are cute, don’t mean they should be exempt from this fact, dogs are meat animals in china, and while I personally wouldn’t want to eat dog, I don’t think it’s the least bit more evil than eating pig or cow(more evil than eating chicken, as chickens are lower intelligence animals, and I would rate how evil it is to eat something by its intelligence) so if you eat bacon, you have no right to say that eating dogs is inherently wrong.

Truly not funny, but very true. Fortunately, reputable animal shelters will not just adopt out to anyone. You have to be vetted before you adopt.
