Would’ve been funnier is the guard had said, “who told?”

“Swoof”? I would have gone with “Splursh”? But hey, that’s just me.

This reminds me of a Sunday strip in which Turnkey asked Spook what the weather was like outside. Spook told him and then thought, “Poor guy. He doesn’t even have a window to the outside world as I have!”
