there is some sense to this strip, given that the drug that suffers the most enforcement, and gets the most people arrested and locked up, can not be patented.however, if memory serves, Bayer Aspirin holds (or held) the patent on heroin.

“Heroin” was designed to treat Morphine addiction – which was a huge problem at the end of the 19th and start of the 20th century. It was made from the same base drug. Illegal Heroin in this country is rarely Heroin, it is just the opium scrapings from the poppy plant(which is addicting enough) – and yes, we have Bayer to thank. The pain relief properties are a godsend to countless people that have bad pain.

There are places in this world where “patent” and “prescription” are synonymous. In this case, the King is speaking of a prescription drug, not one with a legal patent on it.

Ganja isn’t a drug, it’s an herb! Doesn’t have a patent, either! Can’t register a trademark on nature!

our goverment fights both sides of the war on drugs; it’s one of the biggest dope cartels on the planet. When Congress says “no” to CIA funding requests, the spooks only have to up the Afghani production
