The magician distracts us from the dangerous person in the background.

Ok, I’ve had a quick look at the website and it looks promising. I’ve added it to my list.

So glad to see you on here, too, Kate! Widdershins is one of my favorite comics, and I can’t wait to follow along again here (from the beginning) and on your site. (And in the books, of course—I always read them all again when we get the newest one.)

“Widdershins is a series of light-hearted adventure stories, set in a magical version of Victorian-era Yorkshire, featuring grumpy treasure hunters, accidental thieves, failed wizards, and more besides… "

    You’ve gotten my interest.

Why was going around a church Widdershins bad luck? I took that to mean counterclockwise?

Stanwal2: some say that ‘Widdershins’ in our humdrum world is dancing a swastika the unlucky way, you know, the way Schikelgruber and OUR contemporary dumbhaters portray it.

Those of us who like to keep our wits about us often mention great caution in dealing with unknown forces.
