I have guns, locked up in safes, and live less than a mile from a prison. I rarely if ever lock my doors, because the LAST place an escaped prisoner is going to approach is my house that’s too close to the prison to seek refuge. (I know the warden quite well, and he agrees his problem children aren’t about to stop off as close as I live to where they don’t want to be.)
Security is a matter of the mind, not locks, not the police, and not how many guns you own, but whether false fears, like ISIL, dominate your life.
