It’s a secret, but if you happen to find it, hey, help yourself.
I wonder if she will go through with it.
While you’re up there, throw down the Kale.
A nice Autumn crop of various Brassica. There’s even purple Kohlrabi in the mix.
Amelia expresses herself by destroying things. Wallace expresses himself by creating things.
Wallace is a unique blend of the “best of” Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer in exquisite and wonderfully drawn panels. Plus a little Earthy magic to boot.
No way!! Thats great
A kid who grows, of all things, his own kale. Only in the fictional world of comics.
Loving the brussels sprouts. Wallaces did better than mine did this year.
Here is how to properly prepare Kale. Put the kale in a clean sink of cold water to soak. In a pan over medium heat, cook three strips of bacon until crisp. Remove the kale from the water. Throw the kale in the garbage. Enjoy the bacon.
He could have grown a pumpkin up there for Amelia’s big “science experiment”.
Pretty sure the Brussels sprouts are safe, on the roof of an elementary school..!
com on now, sing, you all know the tune<<arugula, arugula, arugula, arugula…in the garden, the roof top garden, Wallace grows his kale, arugula, arugula >>
Not all children hate eating their veg! And, a lot of children get very interested in eating veg when they get to help grow, harvest & prepare said veg. Besides, Wallace is a very Different child, in case you haven’t noticed.
“Typical” sums it all up nicely. Typical Wallace.
Now how did you miss that, Amelia?
…Also, I think this school needs to secure that roof access a bit better. :P
I love the thinking here.
Will is planning the story arc, he wants to pace it properly, he has Amelia on the roof, but isn’t ready for her next step, so how does he introduce a natural (but brilliantly hilarious) pause?
By introducing a Secret Rooftop Kale Garden, of course!
So NOW you like kale!
Wallace is SO super awesome!!!
Oo, Brussels sprouts!
No pumpkins? Wallace? They’re in season too.
New Target acquired…
Seagull seems to think that the kale looks tasty.
This is Saturday. We won’t know whats happening until Monday. Sunday Strips are different. The suspense builds.
Will “sparkle” Henry does it again
Good place for letterboxing.
! :-D No one allowed on roof unless accompanied by a seagull.
