I’m sorry Europe sees our political system so combative, but it is. Is it possible to pass laws making lies during campaigns illegal? Is there a way to make candidates actually address the issues instead of insulting and dividing people on the way to elected office? How can we cut down on the amount of time and money this process consumes while giving people a real chance to talk to voters and define themselves rather than having some third party define them? This process is becoming increasingly “violent” and makes working across the aisles difficult and even impossible.Respectfully,C.

It appears this Irishman doesn’t understand that the Dems held the Presidency AND the Senate.
