Sarkozy, Merkel & Brown are the minor stars/representatives to be eclipsed by the new faces to represent the face of the EU, EU Council president, van Rompuy from Belgium and new EU foreign minister, Baroness Ashton from the UK?
I dunno, of the big 3, Nicolas Sarkozy is rather petulant and likes the limelight. Angela Merkel is the most respected and admired I think so will still be a “star”, Gordon Brown’s light is fading. No-one else apparently matters (not the other heads of state and not even the EU Commission president)
