Interesting that “the” economy is seen here as import / export of goods. When I was in college (back before the invention of fire or cell phones) “the” economy was seen as primarily internal to the country. Unless you lived in Great Britain. I think that, mostly, and in the long run, a unified world economy will be best for most, but getting there has its pitfalls.

Dems, or some of them, are getting the economic downturn they’ve been hoping for, but the problem is, they can’t weaponize it against trump.
