Trump ‘negotiated’ so that the US will keep the ‘one China’ policy, and Trump will get his trademark in China.

When they passed NAFTA I said that it would cause losses of thousands of jobs, but nobody gave a damn, it was great bipartisan thinking. When California was losing thousands of jobs a day to Mexico, the Republicans cheered and jeered, because they just knew it would turn California red. It didn’t.When GATT was being discussed, I objected because it gave the biggest polluter clear advantages – and both sides said it didn’t, but then met at midnight and removed all that language. And nobody cared.I was objecting when Japan was totally disassembling our cars on the loading docks and calling it “an inspection”. I was objecting when Germany blocked US beef because of spurious hormone tests. I objected when the Bush family decided between them that the US should NEVER import drugs from anywhere, thus saddling us with trillions (YES, I MEANT TRILLIONS) of dollars that were just goddamn gifts to the US drug patent trolls.

And NOW, now that the damn jobs are gone, that the rolling mill down by the river in Evansville has been shipped nut and bolt to China, now that we’ve farmed out the chip fabs and the programming jobs and the damn call center jobs so you can’t even call IBM and get an English speaker, NOW Republicans are suddenly going to reverse course and undo all that, with all the disruption repeated world freaking wide, NOW THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO GIVE A DAMN BECAUSE .5% of the voters in Wisconsin decided they’d try anything to get wages up?

Yeah, right, pull the other one, it has bells on. I don’t believe Trump gives a hot damn whether or not Joe Plumber makes 10K per year or 75K per year.
