So, I copy-pasted my comment under Clay Bennett today: There is a very cost effective solution. Offer Pfizer or any of the good vaccines to all athletes and their retinues. Could’ve started weeks ago before arrival at the Olympics venue. The US Olympians have had their chance. IOC or host country (Japan) should have arranged vaccinations for all others in need. Also, US embassies/consulates could offer/administer vaccines to local staff and to US citizens in foreign countries. Instead, I hear there’s a covid outbreak in our embassy in Kabul.
