For the longest time it wasn’t flat, it was a hemisphere or a sphere. It was never considered flat once you saw how as you move things come on the horizon and sink below behind you. Same with ships. The Greeks noticed this. I noticed it when I was a child. Whatever is driving these people is bizarre.
