Actually, the big green (fake) Oracle should be the face of Donald Trump, and the man behind the curtain should be Putin.
And the real sin committed by Steve King is not his support for racism, which is mainstream in the modern TrumpubliKKKon party and the same thing he has done for many years without upsetting his peers, but that he put down the dog whistle, stopped using the coded language, stepped out from behind the fig leaf, forgot that he was not talking to his Iowa red-neck farmer base but rather to the New York Times, and, in a mainstream, world class newspaper, came right out and said — in plain English — that he could not understand how the terms “white supremacy” had become so offensive.
I’m sure way too many people are just SHOCKED to see the GOP behind that curtain.
King’s been a total jerk for ages, just finally caught up to him.
Wizard of Awesomely Repellent Views.
Odd, isn’t it, that both “King” and the Wanna-be “Dictator” are from the same party, huh?
Not much of a curtain nowadays.
Hearing Senator King’s explanation was somewhat surreal. I concede that we cannot know what’s going on inside his head, but we all hear what comes out of his mouth. I think there’s a moral there.
And King was re-elected. Because they couldn’t vote for one of those evil Democrats, now could they?
Mr. King is a well established idiot, a personality type that is certainly not unique to the Republican Party.
Great one Tom!
Beautiful, truthful cartoon.
Mr. Toles, you offend the Wizard of Oz, who in any case is too busy processing all of those point-of-sale transactions we send him from the grocery store. (It is the Wizard of Oz on the other end of the wire, isn’t it?)
Nobody mentioning that the modern Republican party has no brain, no heart, and no courage?
Republicans bought the illusion machine from the Russians.
Trump is just the obvious pustule of a symptom. Republicans are the disease.
Anyone notice that are usual right wing friends are absent from this discussion? Guess Faux News hasn’t given them their talking points yet.
Trump was the one who originally pulled aside the curtain. That’s how he got so much support- all the racists in the Republican Party loved how he made their racism “okay”.
Steve King is scarier than anything that Stephen King wrote.
And Trump said he hadn’t heard anything about Steve King‽
King should resign, even if Congress doesn’t insist. Time for him to go, anyway.
The problem with winning all the time is, it gets tedious, boring even.
“The first rule of Racist Club is you don’t about Racist Club….”
Excellent rendering Tom!
