At the Metro Command Center the escalator is out of service. At the top of the escalator is the safety office.
Whines the Liberal.
Sad to see. When I visited D.C. In the early 90s, the Metro was a fine example of a subway system, especially after having used NYC’s subway many years earlier. When I worked in D.C. in 2008, it was notable mainly for being massively overcrowded. Now, it’s apparently falling apart.
Another example of infrastructure that is falling apart. Congress continues to do nothing useful.
Escalators can’t be “out of service”. They just turn into stairs.
Escalators are “out of service” when they have a safety barricade in front of them—usually due to stair treads being removed for repair work.
