trying not to be crude here…. is this what it’s all about? Money? That is probably the most horrendously sad turn our government will ever take. Haggle for Health.. sounds like a TV series.
It is what this country has been about since Reagan took over
If only it could be all haggled centrally by a single payer.
I’m seriously considering getting into folk medicine. Anybody know a good curandero?
It is the Repug Holy Grail of an unregulated free market.
The rest of the developed countries are shaking their heads and saying; “It’s not supposed to be about profit!”
Seriously thinking of following Linguist to Ecuador.
Hmmm… it seemed so much better in the brochures.
I’m calling it now:
Next week’s TTDG will either be Lucky Ducky, whom we haven’t seen in a while, or the Super-Fun Pak Comix (or both, if LD is part of SFPC).
$ure, America ha$ the BE$T Health Care in the WORLD! IF you have LOT$ of CA$H, that i$. Otherwi$e, you’re $crewed! Or, you are a member of "Con"gre$$.
The Art of the Deal carried ad absurdum ! Just wait till next week when the sycophants and minions of Emperor tRUMP ram the new, improved, best-deal-for-the-rich ever, revised deconstruction, of the not-so-affordable healthcare act, down the throats of the American public !
Stealing $880 billion from Medicare is the biggest jewel in their crown of pain.
I’m starting to feel ill!
Your health system is so expensive because it contains far too many marketing executives, salesmen, lawyers and accountants. The whole system has been repurposed by these groups to support them rather than deliver health care. They have succeeded in lobbying for laws that raise barriers to entry and now reap the ensuing economic rent available only to cartels and monopolies. The result is a self perpetuating expensive and highly inequatable ‘health system’ that is bleeding users and taxpayers dry.
This isn’t rules based capitalism at work, it is extortion pure and simple. Maybe you need another Teddy Roosevelt to bust these new trusts.
Life is a pre-existing condition
I’ll take a dollars worth.
