That would be great; the country may yet survive.

If Texas shifted its BIAS, we might get more honest history text books for public schools.

That’s cleverer than I generally figure Stiglich to be: More blue, less red… and maybe he didn’t notice: Also less white!

You say that like it’s a bad thing, Stiglich. I’m not a Dem myself, but the GOP apocalypse must be stopped before the U.S. turns into a stretch of scorched earth.

What the HECK are you trying to imply here, Tommy? That white America is about to become a minority? That the dark part of the Lone Star flag will get even darker?

This isn’t even about Democrat demographics in Texas. It’s a racist dog whistle.

I’m a Texan. Many of us are sick to death of the “do anything, lie about anything, gerrymandering, suppress the vote” rule of the GOP here in Texas

    That’s why Republicans cheat. Nationwide.

It’s not just demographics. The GOP is rotting from the inside out.

Most people aren’t happy smelling that kind of stink.

I find it ironic, and really hilarious, that most all the Southern states, former C.S.A., would be ‘red’ states for The Party of Lincoln. Evidently being none too bright, they fell for Nixon’s ‘Southern Strategy’. Their great and great-great grand daddys must be spinning in their graves.

I’ve seen and heard John Boehner, Paul Ryan and now Kevin McCarthy refer to the Republican Party as “The Party of Lincoln”, yet each would have brought impeachment charges against Lincoln in a heartbeat. Of course, as most should know, the Republican Party began in 1854 as THE Liberal party in the U.S., Lincoln being their first Liberal President. They had a Liberal wing all the way into the 1960s led by Thomas Dewey. That all changed with Nixon. Now the Republican/conservatives are what conservatives all become. hypocrites and liars. It is a requirement.

It.. is discouraging that it would take “demographics” and not education to change the political climate. Relying on “demographics” just perpetuates the racial division that is tearing America apart.

And isn’t that just terrible, Mr. Stiglich? I mean, all those people who aren’t just like you having representation and a say in the government! What gives them the right?! (Sure, they say that the Constitution does, but they just won’t admit that the Constitution is just supposed to be for white men!)

Don’t forget Georgia. If voter suppression and vote suppression can be successfully fought, it will probably bust up the Solid South.

In Stiglich’s world many Texans would get 3/5ths of a vote. Because according to Trump, your either with The Hispanics or with the country. In Toms mind you can’t be for one without being against the other.
