We were never able to find a toy our dog couldn’t destroy.

No toy is unbreakable for dogs.

Imagine him doing that on duty – when he catches a rat.

This is so true and dear to my heart. My girl is 15 1/2 and still take the squeaky out of the balls, and chews the balls up. Yip yip yip yip yip

Our Doree could destroy anything! Ironically, Walmart used to have 97 cent dog toys that lasted longer than anything else.

My dogs get the monthly Bark Box in the mail, with 2 toys and snacks. The toys might be destroyed in 5 minutes, but it’s the best 5 minutes of the month.

Tell the producers: Its not the size of the teeth, it’s its sharpness.

Don’t tell that to a dog or a toddler.

I had a Chocolate Lab who would remove squeakers from toys with surgical precision… her sisters and mother would then shred the remains.

Doggie likes to expose fraudulent advertising.

We bought a fairly large ball toy which was advertised to be tough enough to be played with by a lion. The ad even showed a lion playing with one. It only lasted a couple of days with our Rottweilers.

My last dog could destroy ANY toy within minutes.

Some parts are still recognizable, so the job isn’t finished… yet. First, a lap from the dish, and nap. After a heavy sigh.

Our Shih Tzu still has her “Foxy” from Chewy. Well, she has 2 small pieces of orange cloth that used to be Foxy. The rest of him must have been tired and got pooped out in the backyard.

Finn likes his stuffed plush ducks. We’ll ask “Where’s your duckie?” and he’ll run to get it. I buy them for about $6.00 each from Amazon, so it’s not a big loss when he destroys them. He had his first one for weeks with no damage. He would chew on it and toss it around, yet it never came apart, so I ordered 2 more. Around that time, Finnegan discovered he could get the squeaker out, as well as more stuffing than seemed possible to come from one toy. After that, every duck became a flat, mangled bit of material in increasingly shorter periods of time.

I once bought my golden a “indestructible” toy, gave it to her and timed how long it took for the dog to destroy the toy. Twelve seconds! A very happy 12 seconds for her!

Practice on dog beds helps. :)

No such thing. Get over it.

I really love hearing all your “doggie” stories! Brings back happy memories. I guess that’s what this strip is all about. :)
