I cleaned up my friends PC a couple years ago, he had so many different toolbars that he barely had room for the web pages.

Just READ things while you are installing or updating something and uncheck all you do not need installed and ta-da! no toolbars. Reading is a useful skill, you know.

I work in tech support and I have to say the most toolbars I’ve seen on one screen was 14. The poor user had no idea how they got there. The website barely had four inches to display a page.

If only there was such a thing as Norton Internet Prophylactic; you could be as active as you want, with no unwanted add-ons. Their slogan could be, “Practice safe interface!”

Hate all tool bars with a passion. After a “helpful” family member installed some software with out my permission on my computer they were sure I’d just love, I spent weeks teaching myself how to uninstall the nasty pests and all the extra bits they hide out on your hard drive.
