This dog definitely seems to know who’s in charge

… and he seems to be enjoying exploiting his power.

I’m not sure how scooping poop has anything to do with anything. The dog has to go — law of nature, and all that. Laws of people say that poop has to be scooped. Unless it’s your back yard, and then it’s your choice to scoop, not the dog’s.

My dog spends so much time sniffing to find just the right spot, and then I come along and clean it up. I’m imagine my dog wonders what I do with all that poop

Reminds me of Jerry Seinfeld’s joke about an alien species seeing humans and dogs and wondering who is really in charge.

We always scooped our dog’s poop — even in the backyard — and it didn’t have anything to do with her being the one “in charge” of us either. I didn’t want to step in it with bare feet (in the summertime) and we didn’t want to run over it with the lawnmower. YUCK! :-P

If Space Aliens really visited our humble planet, who would they think were really in charge?
