Dream on, Toby.
Tony is right, actually. It is classic motivational theory: if you want someone to do something, it should be 1) a task that they believe they can do, and 2) they should get something out of it, that 3) gives them some kind of satisfaction. The knowledge that he has made his homework just isn’t enough; – that might come in time.
We give treats to dogs because we want them to learn. Does the teacher want Toby to learn?
In my father-in-law’s day, they threw chalk at the kid for wrong answers.
if the teacher has to pay himself, knowing Toby, the poor guy would be BROKE AFTER JUST A WEEK!
“Sit on it, Bucket…”
hmm, I mentioned the dog training treats yesterday. Now show me the way to the buffet. And I hope there is something better there than freeze dried liver.
I think Toby is barking up the wrong teacher.
Now Mr Bucket, go home and convince your parents to vote for that bond issue and tax increase for education so your teacher can make his next mortgage payment.
