Way back in 1982, I was on a flight to Hawaii. I was really worried about crashing in the ocean. I just knew a shark was going to get me. I wasn’t worried about dying in the crash, just the shark. Go figure. Anyway, I was seated next to a young woman – an artist. Once we were underway, she got out her large sketch pad and some sort of special pen. Then she started dotting all over the paper. I was so fascinated by it that I forgot about crashing. By the time we landed, there was a full face portrait of Abraham Lincoln.

I’ll save you the trouble of looking it up. Stipple -(in drawing, painting, and engraving) mark (a surface) with numerous small dots or specks.

Stipple is an art term. Clever.

I had to look it up too. I used to love to do “connect the dots” in activities books when I was a kid!

In court, if you’re willing to agree to something, you stipulate it. Not the same thing here.

Raise your hand if you had to look up “stipple” (don’t act like it was just me!).
