! If We’re talking about DC Comics’ Metal Men, i’m going with Nameless.
He died of metal fatigue.
If we only had a flux capacitor.
As the fat guy said as he put on site 32 waist pants…’that’s a real stretch
Acid core or rosin core?
folks loved him ’cause he was a joiner, not a divider…
Why would someone soldering use a welding helmet?
Forgot a heart
Looks more like a welder. You don’t needs no welding helmets for soldering.
It’s nobody’s bismuth to know what was really used.
With a melting point of 1762°F, I’m going to go out on a limb and say it wasn’t silver
The mask ensures that the solder remains unknown.
I love heavy metal.
Many years ago, when I was in Navy Electronics Technician training, I wrote a letter home to my parents (yes, it was that long ago), telling them that we were learning soldering. My Dad wrote back to tell me that Mom had been worried because she read it as “soldiering”.
I’m sorry but this is offensive to me as it disrespects the tomb of the unknown soldier. Grammatically, it would be solderer because solder is just metal and wouldn’t need a tomb. In my opinion, this is a swing and a miss.
And the rest of us will just have to solder on.
This one hurts.
He will be forever welded to our hearts.
I think the cartoon is in poor taste.
If it was pure tin he’d have whiskers, but I guess those would be hard to see with that face shield on.
He should still get his metal of honor.
Arcs are really bad for electronics. Joey, have you ever seen a fully charged capacitor explode when suddenly shorted?
Wonder what happens on a really hot day?
if he was standing on a horse, he would have said, ‘Hi ho, Silver away!’
An ironic cartoon.
I HATE LEAD FREE SOLDER!!!!!!!!! sorry, I just had to vent.
An old Radio Shack statue (Division of Tandy Co.) I bought lots of stuff from them!
I spent way too long trying to understand what “We’ll never know F or sure.” meant. Like, is F some soldering term/rating/something.
wouldn’t that be the unknown solderer
Cultural query – pronounce the ‘L’ in solder, or not? I’m a NOT.
