I only wish that I could attend, but I’ll be washing my unibrow and won’t be able to do a thing with it…

I was hoping to attend, as I really enjoy intriguing refreshments however modest, but regrettably my alarm clock consistently refuses to operate on Sundays, so I couldn’t possibly arrive with a predictable degree of fashionable punctuality. I wish I could think of a suitable blessing for you on this triumphal occasion. Unfortunately, inspiration has failed me.Nevertheless, I would be grateful if you could convey to us distant Lost Bears, a few extracts of the more unforgettable parts of your speech. Not withstanding my lamentable nonattendance, I am sure that the launch of your pseudo-epic will rattle the entire continent.

@BTG:.By the time I’ve walked there it’ll be LONG over. May you sell many books and may your wrist swiftly recover from all that signing.

@Daffydowndilly.I had a great birthday, thank you. The Big One’s next year and We shall be pre-empting the occasion by visiting, China, Japan, Korea, Alaska and Canada. That’ll be us two and the other half’s brother and his wife. (My 60th, sis in law’s 61st – half way between the two.) It’ll be the first time I’ve travelled around the world completely in one holiday.

I want modest yet intriguing refreshments. Does Bradley Taylor Grieve do a cookbook?

    (sigh…)

Bradley Trevor Greive is again experiencing delusions of immense popularity.

I’m afraid the meds aren’t working.

oh drat, I have yet to hit the lottery, so can’t charter a jet to pick up all those wishing to attend, so that we might descend en-mass upon your festivities…and you KNOW it’d be extra festive if we ALL showed up – some might even say scary.: } enjoy it mightily and think of us in passing. (passing the modest yet intriguing refreshments that is)congratulations!

Hello Lost Bears,Today is a special day for me – as my latest comic gift book book, Curses and Blessings for All Occasions has finally arrived in bookstores across North America and Australia, with more countries to follow in due course. It’s always rather anxious but also exciting when a new book makes its way into the world, so my fingers are crossed that those of you who do come across a copy will enjoy it.Presently we are waiting for a few final e-book platforms to upload and make available the e-book edition, and when this happens (hopefully in the next few days) I will provide a link here, on Go Comics, where you and your friends can download this version for free. The free e-book offer will be worldwide,. and will run for one full week. My hope is that many thousands or even millions of humour fans will take advantage of it.I realise that few, if any Lost Bears, live in Southern California. But nonetheless I wanted you all to know that you are all invited to attend the official book launch event this Sunday. It’s hardly the gala event of the year, but it’s in a great bookshop and I am mixing cocktails, so it should be good for a laugh. If you have freidns or family out near Los Angeles, then by all means pass on the details as they too are welcome – the more the merrier!BTG

Cheers, Eldo,I think your crossover assumption is a good one, and your tour guide suggestions are excellent! After attending my book launch a number of guests may feel compelled to throw themselves into the La Brea Tar Pits, or somehow wedge themselves under that enormous rock installation at LACMA.: )
