Maybe he did not accidentally cut himself. Look on the bright side Gladys, maybe he just electrocuted himself instead. Since I shave in the shower, I can see how that would be a real possibility. (And no, I don’t use an electric razor, the cord is too short.)
I went back to using a blade to shave with because I kept getting razor burn from the electric one even after I changed screens and blades. Perhaps Brutus might do the same, though should he do so, our hapless hero might suffer more of the “slings and arrows of outrageous fortune…”
I have used an electric razor for many years, and this is the first time I’ve ever heard of needing a screen for it. Mine just goes on and on, no razor burn, no hair-pulling…
It’s always a shock when an electric shaver cuts. I am female, and I have been cut by just about every electric shaver I ever had. I don’t have coarse hair, I have sensitive skin. Brutus maybe has bad aim.

Time to replace the blades.

Got razor burn many a time. Cut myself multiple times shaving with a three-bladed razor. Now I have a beard and I’m happy with it.

They’re only easy to use on your face.

I wonder what he would look like with a beard?
KA7DRE Premium Member 6 months ago
It’s easy to do that . . If for example your screen eventually wears a hole in it, then the cutter blade can and will cut your face.

I’ve never done that, but then, I’m not a born loser.

Instead of cutting the hair, it can catch and pull it. Dull blades can easily do that.

I bought one for my tough beard – I looked sunburned for three or four days and hurt even more. I retired it. Hydro 5 blades for me.

I wouldn’t laugh if it happened to you.

Needs a new screen. I just had visions of Les Nessman on WKRP with his ever present bandaid on his face.

What Gladys failed to mention was that Brutus was “manscaping.”

Electric razors are designed to safely Brutus shave the face. Was Brutus perhaps operating in an unauthorized zone?

If your beard is long enough, the hairs can get stuck and get pulled out rather than shaved off. At least, that’s what my grandson says.

It happens as screens wear out. Now you know what to get him for his birthday…..

I’m glad I’m not the only one, but I gave that up when I retired. Just got around to tossing my razor and blades.

I’ve done that trying to trim the hairs on my neck with my electric razor. Hurt like the dickens!

I am 70 years old. All my life, and still, when people get to know me they ban me from having anything sharp. I am accident waiting to happen.
