That’s a procedure you’ ll understand growing up.

I’m sure that Hattie’s parents wish they didn’t have any.

Even more logically, if you’re parents didn’t have any children, you wouldn’t have been born.

Does she mean that unless you inherit a lot of money that you can’t afford to have children?

Brutus wishes your parents decided against children.

Hattie is wise, I can’t find an arguement

If your parents did not have children, you would not exist.

She’s way too smart. Not really.

With some parents that would be from the kindness of their heart (especially if you were unloved and unwanted at birth)

I’ve heard that insanity is hereditary…

If Brutus’ parents didn’t have children would we still be able to post comments?

That little girl is wiser than her years. Nobody can argue with that. Her logic is irrefutable.

My favorite put-down: “So, did your parents have any children that lived?”

Hurricane Hattie makes a very valid point.

Brutus should change the locks on the door or start using them. If it’s not Mother Gargoyle it’s Hurricane Hattie popping in. People like them make even the most fervent pro-lifers start to doubt their convictions

Childlike reasoning. I can remember thinking that all the dead people on westerns were actually death row inmates. They were given the chance at life by agreeing to get shot by the sheriff or other good guy, or die from the bullet, whichever came first. That made perfect sense to me at her age.

Old Joke.

That’s heavy when you really think about it.. somewhere in the distant past a mother survived living in a cave.. being attacked by wild beasts.. probably rape.. freezing cold.. wars and famine, all to eventually have you/me.

And insanity is hereditary as well. You get it from your kids (or close contact with Hattie).

I like Hurricane Hattie. She thinks, she is cute, and sometimes a little annoyance is OK to get a distraction from a rough day. She isn’t usually rude, just hangs on the back of the chair or stands in front of Brutus and makes announcements.

She IS correct up to a point and from a child"s reference point, her logic is irrefutable. Give her that point even if choice of words may be slightly off….

And we all know Brutus’ brother is an only child…

Well again, Hurricane Harriet is right. Brutus could never have children, cause Brutus is Brutus…

Well Harriet, states Brutus, the palm reader saw lines on my hand that said I will have children and lo and behold I did, so heredity be darned…

But, Brutus continues, heredity does determine pattern baldness, I got mine courtesy of my mother…

Brutus further continues, heredity might determine the color here of my green chair, or maybe Gladys’ heredity…

Your parents are about to be without child if you don’t get out of my house.

Unfortunately, Hattie’s parents decided to have at least one child. I hope there aren’t any others like Hattie at home.
