The meaning of these verses is that the human race was born to progress in knowledge and discovery. So Wilberforce has to be bold and see something different. He can only benefit from it.

The kid has a point.

Wilberforce is such a Spaceball.

I’m looking forward to the new season of the Mandalorion.

The problem with the new shows is that too many traditional male heroes have turned into female heroes. Superman has turned into Supergirl. Spiderman has turned into Spiderwoman. Doctor Who has turned into Miss Doctor Who. Even Star Wars’ Luke Skywalker has turned into his daughter Ray Skywalker!

And you know there is no stopping. I just seen a new show, a revamp of the old Night Court that starred Harry Anderson. Guess what? The new judge of Night Court is a woman!

The Farce is strong with this one.

It’s the week-end, the games are on, so go away kid.

I’m that way with Princess Bride.

You can’t lose going with the classics

Because Disney took over and the new ones are terrible.

And here I am – looking forward to cutting grass and yard work. Am I dumb or what? I could be watching useless tv.

Cheer up Brutus. If you had had daughters like I do, those movies would be romcoms and you’d be seeing them over and over and over. Oh, and your daughters would be speaking to each other in lines from various movies, then laughing uproariously.

Wilberforce’s logic is good, and Brutus can nap. They still get time together. Kewpie should join in for the nap.

Just think. When we first saw Star Wars we didn’t know there was a new hope…

I watched “Call the Midwife”. I didn’t think I’d like it. I mean, all those pregnant women going through labor pains and those screaming baby’s is not my kind of entertainment. But, I found out I liked it. The characters were good as were the outcomes. And the time of the storyline was my timeline. So, I went back and recorded that episode when replayed on a different channel as I did with all the later episodes for many seasons.

I’m with Born Loser – there are so MANY bad films and TV shows to fill the 24/7 gazillion channels that many times a good rerun is time better spent!

As someone often posts “But do you know”.

We can watch the one with the Ewoks, the ones with Jar-Jar or any of the JJ Abrams’ ones.

Try Rogue One. (best Star Wars movie imho)

Put on The Empire Strikes Back one of the rare sequels that’s even better than the original. I’ll probably get an earful with my comment

Wilberforce exhibits a reluctance to experiment.

a buddy is perplexed by my interest in finding new music to listen to – he’s perfectly happy with the beatles and nothing but the beatles. dear ol’ dad would grumble if presented with anything but a burger or a steak for dinner, which is perhaps one reason why i’ve always been interested in trying new things…

Wilburforce does have a point. The acting in the original Star Wars movies (Ch. 4, 5 and 6) popped off of the screen, but the acting in Episode One just didn’t.
