Not true, at least in my case. I didn’t like green beans, beets, asparagus, or egg plant in my youth, but enjoy them now. Still can’t get the hang of cauliflower or coffee though.
There wasn’t much I did not like as a child. We were very poor. Food was hard to come by so most any food was welcome. Eggplant is one of those that I still can’t eat. Since I live alone now, it really does not matter since I control the menu.
Did anyone see the Born Loser when the doctor tells Brutus to only smoke three cigarettes a day…when the doctor asks Brutus if that is what he is doing on their next appointment, Brutus says " I am trying . Doc, but at my age it is hard to start new habits". I assumed Brutus was in his 60s!

I have disliked stuffed cabbage and stuffed peppers since I was a child. Still do. Yucky stuff.

I acquired a taste for many foods as I grew up, since my parents rule you eat or don’t your choice. It’s a long time between meals when you’re hungry.
